  3.   suspicious abdominal mass. Cystic ovarian tumors that are less than 6 cm (2¬Ω in.) in diameter occurring in a 
  4.   premenopausal woman are usually benign cysts.
  5.      Surgical evaluation should be strongly considered for any mass in a postmenopausal woman, masses that are
  6.   larger than 6 cm (2¬Ω in.) in diameter, masses persisting longer than one menstrual cycle and masses that are
  7.   suspicious on imaging of the pelvis.
